He is a demigod and rules from a giant castle that the player must infiltrate. One of the bosses encountered in the trailer was Godric the Golden, a guy with too many arms and too many fingers on his multitude of hands. Even Dark Souls had a few influences like this - one notable example is Great Grey Wolf Sif, who is inspired by Fenrir from Norse Mythology.
Some of Elden Ring's armor and weapon designs also hint at Nordic influences. It calls to mind Yggdrasil, the world tree from Norse mythology. Immediately apparent is the giant tree which serves as a handy way to navigate the open world in Elden Ring. Though Skyrim takes place in a fantasy world, its setting is inspired by ancient Nordic culture. From what has been shown so far, Elden Ring will undoubtedly draw some inspiration from Skyrim.
